Grace

So this summer, i have the awesome opportunity to live here in Chicago. Right near the city and with 76 other college students. God has used the past year, the people i know, the churches i’m a part of and the challenges i’ve faced to get here. There have been so many times when i am unfaithful to my faithful God, ungrateful to my gracious God, and so unworthy of a worthy God, but He, in his wonderful Grace continues to bring me back to Himself. I cannot tell you how thankful i am for that.

I am in Chicago this summer to serve the campus of UIC and to build relationships with the students there for summer school and to share with them what God has done for me and for them.  I was nervous coming into this environment… so many lies the enemy tried to tell me, but once again, i see God’s grace.  He has used the awesome community around me to encourage me in my faith, challenge me in my walk and has taught me to many things in just the short 5 days i’ve been here!! 

It is such a God thing how laura and i got our jobs. It was only the first day of job searching when we walked into an unopened Chickfila, happened to see a manager and used our Southern Charm :) in talking to him about possibly working there for just 10 weeks. We got the job on the spot. Now let me tell you… this is God’s story!! I am so excited to be a part of it and will continue to share his name wherever i am.
